February 8
Got up at 9 o'clock. Had dinner at 12 o'clock. Put on equipment at 12:45 and assembled at 2.M.O. Started for Re?? Barracks at !!10 P.M. distance of 1 1/2 miles. Arrived at about 1:45 P.M. Entrained in Horse cars where manure was inch deep. No benches. StartedTrain of 50 cars started at about 5 P.M. with 30 men in my car. Slept but little. Passed Red X Hosp. Arrived at Brains at about 10:30 a.m. 2/7/18.
February 9 Saturday
Arrived Braines 10:30 a.m.. Marched 6 1/2 kilometres to [?] Arrived at 1 o'clock. Was put in barrack with 12 others. Quite nice. Had supper at 5 p.m. Slept well at night.
February 10 Sunday
Equipment and records did not arrive so did not work. Went on a walk through abandoned trenches where Germans passed through for 7 hours in 1915. Went to bed early.
Feb 11. Monday
Trucks with records etc arrived about 10:30 a.m. Set to work arranging officers records. Worked until 4:30 p.m.
