Lizzie I dont know what bet-
ter use can be made of my 
time this dreary dreary day 
than to write letters, I have 
sewed until worn out; now 
dont I deserve credit, for take 
my blue silk entirely [underscored] to 
pieces and making it all 
over again, all that tedius body 
but my success in making 
my new blue dress was so 
complete as to induce me to 
alter my silk I turned it in-
side out, and made it fit 
much better than it ever 
did by making it a few in-
ches smaller.  I regret exceed
ingly that you  did not return 
home sooner you would
really have enjoyed uncle 
Franks company he is so
