I have made diligent inquiries 
& find that all deny the accu-
sation.  Harriot Brown has 
been urging her to come up to the
Army but it is very dull.  I expect
she has had enough of the soldiers
since her visit at Orange.  However
she says if a suitable escort go for
her in two or three weeks she will
come up.

What became of [?] Stoddert?
We have heard nothing of him
since May.  I expect he has
been travelling over the [?]

Any more weddings your way?
I am sorry I was not sent to
East Tennesee.  My health was
plenty good enough.
