The day was spent quietly
at home, with the few energies I
could arouse dedicated to the
writing of letters.
This evening, big excitement
came when Floyd phoned after
over two years in the Pacific.
He sounds the same as ever.
I was kind o’ pleased when he
asked me for a New Year’s Eve
date, but I’d already made
plans for some of the gals to
come over here (among other
reasons) and decided ag’in’ it.
I am glad he’s home however!
