Back to work after a really pleasant
four day vacation! The day passed in
a holiday afterglow; but we kept mighty
busy for all that.
More Christmas cards arrived
bringing my total up to eighty, aside from
the all-inclusive “family” greetings. A
very special card came from Jim today;
and I beam over it – though tis a far cry
from his usual offerings.
This eve, Florence came out with
her brother, Herb (just back from
overseas) and Jack Hoffman. We
sat around and talked pleasantly.
– Florence gave me an exquisite
gold cigarette case, which I love
dearly.
