I struggled vainly to make myself
believe that I was in a healthy condition
today; but finally gave in to inevitability
and stayed home from work – and in
bed. I still feel rotten but hope to
improve greatly by tomorrow.
A letter from Freddie means he
should be on his way home now – and
expects to arrive in the land of the
Skyscrapers by Christmas. I do hope
so: - he wants it so badly.
