An extra hour’s sleep due to the
setting the clocks back with the
official end of War Savings time!
– Mother and I had lunch at a
Chinese restaurant in Brooklyn
and then went to the Albee to
see “Junior Miss” (almost as good
as the play) and Eisenhower’s
dynamic “The True Glory,” the tale
of our road to Victory in Europe
from D-Day to VE Day. It was
potent stuff!
The hospital’s session wasn’t
too cheery!
