The end of another month! July 31st
is such a fatalistic day for it
means that the end of the summer
is drawing near -- an emptyish
feeling.
I spent most of the morning
writing Bill a long letter, trying to
be encouraging about his non-stop
trip to the Pacific. (He’s really
seeing the world!) Prhaps there is
a reason for it - cuz if he had
his 30 day furlough home I’d
probably be very tempted to take
that ring and yet I don’t really
want it -- now! How badly I
want the war to be over so that
everyone will come home and we
can go on from there!
We went to the hospital – other-
wise nothing is new.
Gloria and Florence phoned!
