How Un-Holiday-like this Fourth
of July has been. Flags have
flown all over and there have been
parades here and there, but other-
wise the day passed quietly.
Florence came out just before
noon. We sunbathed in the back-
yard for awhile and then had
lunch. Later on in the afternoon,
Mother and I went down to
the hospital -- then had a bite
to eat at Teddy’s in Jamaica and
met Florence again to see the
excellent “Song of Bernadette”
Dad had another heart
attack. It’s such a long pull!
