The whole day was spent at
the hospital, and managed to
pass with enough pleasant ish
intervals to break up the monotony
of the day. We were up on the
roof for quite awhile and talked
with an assortment of people.
Dr. Baker (of my rheumatic
fever days 5 years ago) took
Mother and me to supper.
One of the Lab. Technicians
offered me a job as her assistant.
I’m leaving well enough alone
however – I don’t think I’d be
too clever at that sort of thing.
