1945 The trip home was
amazingly quite pleasant and
smooth-going. Janet and I
had seats most of the way,
and our train was only a
half hour late reaching Penn
Station!
Mother and Dad met me
and we had a bite to eat at
the Saverin before coming home.
It’s good to be here
No word from Bill ---I
fear he’s been shipped out. To
think that I’ve probably missed
seeing him by less than
48 hours is really frustrating!
Bill Brennan called for a
lengthy chat!
