December 20
The trip home was uneventful,
as Elaine and I dozed most
of the way --- with the Christmas
rush and train wrecks causing
us to reach New York two hours
late. Natchally Mother, Dad, Lizzie
and Glory -- there to meet me --- were
taking part in a little family
drama; but then my homecomings
usually are eventful, so that
wasn’t too surprising.
The new home -- 8835 193 Street ---
is a honey and I love it good.
Mother and Lizzie worked like dogs
but it looks wonderful in a
homey way. I’m very pleased with
it.
A letter from Bill sent to
Billsburg before I left was
really terrific. I miss that guy!
