writing down, but because, I think my memory
fails me - and I almost forget, what I say and
what I think - It is my desire to God,
that my time may not be spent in Jolly, but in things
that may be useful to my fellow creatures, &
evidence my faith in Christ. So help me God!

I give away - or receive -
lest I might, In the former case
be at a loss to remember what has
become of them & judge the innocents
of stealing them - and in the latter,
that I may be assisted to remember
kindnesses, & not by forgetfulness, seem to
be ungrateful. --
