out of our shop, we only had five men, so
the coachmakers done very well, 2 out of 5, beside
one that went from another shop who has since
been brought back dead. If I had had no
family I should have been fool enough to have
went a long with them, but dont let me put

the best thing a young man can do. It has just
struck ten o'clock, its cold, and the wind blows
hard, my wife is sick so you see I have
plenty of excuses for this half writen letter
if not I will give you a better one than all, the
baby has been [squalling?] part of the time like
the very deuce.
