Tuesday 1st Wind SE Clear. Hauling in & stacking Top Fodder. Sold Mr Sinclair three Beeves he has the contract for supplying the troops at Gloster Point with Beef. L Davis & I went to the Point in Ev.g. to get hire for our hands who worked there. Mr Hibble here in m.g.

Wednesday 2 Wins SE Clear in m.g. Cloudy Evg & Rained nearly all night. Hauling in & stacking Top Fodder. Mr Hogg went to Mathews after salt & was kept there by the rain. Warner went to York & probably to Richmond.

Thursday 3 Wind N clear after m.g. Ground very wet Men cut cord wood. Women & Boys Thinned Turnips and Set up corn cut down to haul Fodder through the field

Friday 4 Wind SE Clear. Cut cord wood. Dug 3 Hog [Troughs?]. Boys & Girls picked Peas at Mr Sinclairs which he was so kind as to give me. They picked and beat out 5 Bushels nearly. John went to see his wife in King & Queen.
