Wind SW clear and very warm. Planting Corn
No mail today and we have not had one for a
fortneight. It is really provoking in these times to be
so left in the dark.

Thursday 14
Wind W Cloud & rained a little. Planting Corn.
I went to sister Anns. She gave up her home to-
-day to Jefferson Sinclair & she & Martha went
to Wilsons Creek.

Friday 15
Wind W mg E Evg Clear. Joshua went to Mill Alick
& Henry planted Corn, finished planting all the lad
broken up. Richard came with Joshua in Evg

Saturday 16
Wind SE Clear. Joshua breaking up land with Oxen
Opening drains. No mail yet. The Yankees
are said to be entrenching themselves at West Point.

Sunday 17
Wind SW & SE Clear and warm. We staid at
home. Mr Curtis here. Richard went with him in Evg

Monday 18
Wind SW Clear. Joshua assisting to plough Wests land.
Working in Gardin.

Tuesday 19
Wind S & SE clear. Joshua ploughing for West. I have
half his crop. Working in Garden.
