Monday 15th

Wind SW Clear & warm. Got Wood to kill Hogs.
Pulled up & put away Turnips. 4 Cart Loads.
Fayette Sinclair & I went over to Guinea. Got a sack
of Liverpool Salt from Tom Davis of York County for $60.- Sixty dollars

Tuesday 16

Wind SW in mg Cloudy & rained till 12 O.clk clear in
Evg Wind NW. Killed my Twelve remained Killing Hogs
Cut Pine bushes to cover Shelter for Cattle.
The Yankees returned to Gloster Point Yesterday morning.
They took all Mr W P Smiths stock of Horses Mules Sheep
& catttle, also JT Seawells. Mr Kemps & Dr Taliafinos. Mr Persin’s
carriage Horses and doubtless the property of other persons
of which I have not heard. This was nothing but a
Thieving expedition which they will probably repeat
whenever they want fresh meats &c. They took Mr.
JT Seawell a prisoner & carried him to York
Mr. Curtis dined here. A Yankee Gun Boat in [Severn?]
River nearly all day.
