Sunday 19th

Wind SW Clear. I staid at home Maria went
to Belle Farm & carried Farlyes baby home which has
been here since she went to Richmond. Archy Taylor
is at Wilsons Creek & his wife at Belle Farm. He
is afraid to stay there for feat the Yankees will take him.
A blockading Steamer is in Mobjack Bay
Capt Willey returned to day with his Vessel.

Monday 20

Wind N Clear & cold. Getting of Corn. Put 33 Hogs in Pen
to fatten, there are Eleven more which I could not catch to day.
One was stolen last week. I went to Wilsons Creek to meet
Farley & Dr Taylor. I returned home in Ev.g.

Tuesday 21

Wind SW Clear. Shucked Corn in fiedl & brought to Barn
to feed fattening Hogs. Put up Ten hogs I did not get yesterday.
Dr Taylor & his wife came in Evg & spent the night.
I went to Mr Jef Sinclair. The old Gentleman is very low.

Wednesday 22

Wind NW Clear. Getting off Corn. Killed a Beef & sent a quarter to
T Taliafino & a quarter to Merchant. Dr Talyor & his wife went to Wilsons Creek
Mr & Mrs Clarke here in m.g. A Yankee Gun Boat came in the River about 3 O.clk
& anchored off my house. A Lieutenant Surgeon & 6 men came ashore to buy
Fowls &c. I permitted the Negroes to see them some. The Lieut said they did
not intend to interfere with any body or any thing.
