Monday 16 Wind SE. Clear. Getting off & Shocking Corn

Tuesday 17 Wind SE Cloudy & Rained all the Evening Getting off & Shocking Corn. Harrowing Fallow

Friday 18 Wind SE Cloudy in mg Clear in Evening & very warm. Getting off & shocking Corn. Harrowing Fallowed land preparatory to sowing Wheat.

Saturday 19 Wind SE Cloudy & Rained about 1 or 2 O,clk Shucking Corn in the Field & housing it. Mr Hogg went to CH. The Militia of the County are all ordered out there To,day

Monday 21 Wind NE Cloudy & cool. Shucked & put away Corn. I went to Gloster Point to see about hauling up the Canoes.

Tuesday 22 Wind N & NE. Drizzle rain all day. Gettin g wood. Raked & hauled Sea Ores to Hog Pen.

Wednesday 23 Wind NW Clear after m.g. Men mauled Rails, Shucked Corn in field and put it away. Mr Houck Mr McRae & Mr O,Callahan, returned to their Camp to,day well.

Thursday 24 Wind NW Clear. Began to sow Wheat I went to Gloster Point & Warner with me. He went over to York. I returned home in Ev.g. Great activity & [confusion][underlined] too at the Point. They seem to expect an attack. The Militia assembling from Gloster & Mathews without arms for the most part.

The took away the guard ^ at this place yesterday and last night Eight Negroes went off. One of Capt Glass’s three of Ed Thrustons, Two of Monroe Nicolsons & Two of Mr Bryan’s. So they go, doing every thing wrong.

Wind SE Clear. Sowing Wheat, Shucking and

putting away Corn. Mr Hogg ^ was order to the other side of Severn River to guard Boats. He sows my wheat and I have no one upon who I can depend to properly sow it - ^ and making Younger try. he is rather awkward Warner returned in Ev.g. Nick came from Gloster Point where I sent he & Joshua yesterday. His foot is sore.

Saturday 26 Wind E Clear. Sowing Wheat. Warner went to the Ct house and returned in Ev.g A battle was fought on the 21st Inst at Leesburg. We were victorious against great [odds?] Their loss in killed sounded & prisoners One Thousand
