                         Camp Near Washington City
                                     June 3th 1865

Dear Father

             I received your

letter yesterday and I was very glad to here from you again and that youns are all well and it found me in the same and I also received the money and I was very glat for it. Yesterday we errived at Washington and they are discharging soldirs every day but I cant tell you yet whether they are gone to keep the veterans or not but we will soon find it out. But I think till next fall we will all be at home and I let you know that we don some hard marching sins the war is over. We marched betwene six and seven humdred miles. You stated in your letter that you would like if I would come home and help you to work but I dunt know how that will but I think not very good. Well I think I must bring my letter to a close for this time hoping to here from you soon again and let me know all the news. So much from your truly Son
