Miss Mattie Tyler Jerusalem Southampton Co. Virginia

Mobile Ala. July 23rd 1869

Miss Tyler, Please let me know if cousin Antoinette Rochelle is staying with you at present. I have not heard from her in a long time; and feel quite uneasy about her. The two last letters I wrote her, addressed to Philadelphia, she did not answer. My aunt told me that Nettie had gone to Virginia and I [wrote?] to her again about three weeks ago; and directed the letter to Jerusalem; but I have not received an answer. I love Nettie as dearly as a sister; and I am very anxious to hear from her. If she is with you, please

[page 2] ask her to write to me immediately. If she is not at your house, you will greatly oblige me by letting me know her direction; and also her mother's. Aunt Cecele did not give me her full address.

I have heard cousin Nettie speak of you so frequently, Miss Mattie, that I feel like we are acquainted.

Hoping that you will soon give me some news of my cousin, Frema[?]

yours sincerely Florence Higley

Direct to the care of W. T. Marchall [?]
