Office Hughes, Denver & Peck Washington, 24th April, 1869

I send to you, my precious child, the obituary notices that appeared in the three Washington papers on the occasion of the Death of your Grandmother, and I will send you a copy of the first letter your Grandfather Tyler ever ventured to write to her. Keep every thing that I may transmit to you, from time to time, on this Subject.

You must present to Captain & Mrs Bryant my sincere regards and say, that I should be very sorry, for them to think, for a moment, that I had forgotten them, or that I could cease to think of them with [fratitude?].
