                         Gloucester June/3/61
               Dear Eliza,
                       I saw Mr Friend this

morning, he said he had not heard from Foster's vessel, but I saw a man who has a brother there, he says his brother writes that they will not be home before the twentieth of next month. Last Saturday they were reported in Newport. I send you $1.00, pay for the milk and keep the rest yourself. I shall be home the last of next week, you had better not move till I come - [?] my love to the children, kiss Lizzie for me, you must answer this, but I shall not send any more bundles, it costs so much.
