Moncure Robinson Esq

                       Dr Sir
On the 19th inst. I sent

to you in charge of Mr Wright who is in the emploment of Messr Lancaster & Son a P.O. Warrant on the [?] United States Phila for $3743.98 with the request to hold that and the balance in your hands then, subject to a payment for iron to the Phoenix Iron Company. Since then Mr. Daniel wrote you to hold it subject to your acceptances and any other remittances we may make you until your accep -tances shall be satisfied. I now enclose you a draft [favor Mr. Nash Chauncey?] hoping by this means that the Federal Government will pay it (I was afraid that they would not pay it, if made to your order, they knowing your connecion with this Company) for the balance due in as [per?] draft which will be about $6000. I have drawn a similar draft (If you receive both cancel one) and sent by another route.

                        Very Respectfully
                             Your Obt. Servant
