Elizabeth is gaining all the time;+ Matthew is evidently undergoing th4 process of rejuvenation too.

The week before last Ann went up to Cornwall+ spent 2 nights+ [?] @ days with Miss[?] whom she found well but feeling rather lonesome. Miss Sarah holds on to "[?]" [?]having fortnights holiday has gone to spend it with some of my friends near [?]Lake. Walker went off on Saturday afternoon on one of his mysterious expeditions, but got back safe+sound at 5 this morning. Ann+I alone got our old friend [?] Van [?] to take pity on us +dine with us yesterday+ in[?] he enjoyed his dinner.

P.S I have just been reading letters from Matthew + Elizabeth Dated Lancaster 9th [?] [?] [?]I [?] the last sentence. Matthew + Mary, among others
