Richmond Mar 23rd 1867 Mrs William Jerdone

Dear Madam We enclose a statement of a/c due us by Mr Jerdone in Confed- erate times, it has been reduced from the prices charges in Confederate times to the Gold standard (that is, what Gold was selling at the time the bill was made) showing a balance due in the present currency of Fifty Six 10/100 dollars. We would not trouble you about this matter but we are in want of funds to meet some payments of the same character as your bill. Will you do us the favor to let us hear from you in relation to the subject Very Respy Blair & Chamberlayne by John Blair
