My own dear brother

      I have just finished a letter to [?]

Lou & {?Frink] his just come from the office aint a pocket-full of letters one from you & [?}, two for Benton from you & two for [?Frink]. We were so glad to hear from you. This is a beautiful day & I am truly glad to see it. I feel so much better on bright days. We are having a quiet-time now. Company all left. [?] B. has not got back from College yet he cant' leave so many pretty girls [?] [?] & four of the girls came out here Saturday & spent the day [?Misses] Allen, Cox, Weaver & Lyons. I like the girls, especially Mary Cox. Which is your favorite? I think she is decidedly the most Lady like & sweet in her manners. [?] went over Friday night & callen on them. he gets on very with them. Miss Emily [?P.] & Jeanette went to [?] [?] Fridays eve. Jimmie & Benton went too I guess. We all want you to come the first of May if you can. The girls here elected Rosa [?Riddle] queen. [?] sure not much pleased they [?minted] Mark [?]. [?] says [?] this fellow he is much obliged for his invitation to come to see him but he cannot go as he is very busy. Hes got to go to Hillsboro before he leaves [?]. Cousin Lonnie [?] he back here sometime this week I reckon. Left his horse here taken on ride on him. John Tomlinson is at home now. Hes a twenty day [?]. [?] him yesterday at Mrs. [?] Mrs. B asked me if you had written to [?]? I write to him. [?] I had something

interesting to write you. I would like to see one of Mr. Bentons letters [?] think what is is he writes so funny. Miss [?} & she [?] have not come yet. Look for them this week as the weather is so nice. Write again soon. I am always anxious to hear from you & tell that Captain for one. Please let you come home first of May you will not stay long.
