Day                                               to come

Clear & cold.  Boys worked in

Bud's house putting on enamel

in living R. dining R. & hall.  Dad

took me to Church.  I got things

ready, didn't expect many & only

had Edna, Mrs. [Charts??] & me at

lunch time.  Bessie Kellam after

lunch.  We filled [fracture?] pillows

& cases.  I cut out 7 pair of

linings; for socks; took 5 yds of

outing flannel.  Home by 5.  Dad

came for me.  Ethel talked to us

in eve.  Road men had really

piled dirt along their front &

car couldn't get in drive.  putting

pipe along edge of road to carry

water down on [Frank??].  Bud tried

yellow on wood work in kitchen.
