before this time Miss Virginia
is no longer a Miss, but has become
a Mrs. Do present my warmest
congratulations & best wishes
for her future happiness. Miss
Sophy too I presume has
become one of those happy
ones, shall you see her present
also my congratulations. Since I
last wrote, Miss Sallie Capers has
married a Mr. Stokes, Methodist
preacher, & a widower with Six
children, also Miss Mary C who married
a Rev Mr Thomason has been
left a widow with one child & I
hear very destitute. Our family are
as usual, Sister [Joni?] & children with
Ma, Lewis is now engaged to a Miss
Perrin of Abbeville, a very nice lady.
