Wed. Nov. 11th
Father went to N.Y. to-day, and as it was
raining, E + I stayed in until four, then
dressed + went up to the [A...]. Frances
came later, also found Cousin Helen and
Mrs. [...] there. Mrs. Gordon came later
and we all had tea around teh fire.
Virginia had been in N.Y. for a few days
+ [Jessie] persuaded us to wait and see
her. She came about 5:30 + told us
of a wonderful time in the city. She
took in two shows, "The Devil", + "The
Man from Home." The latter was
fine, but the other horried. E + I are
going to take in a show a [m...], so
we say now. Next in to see Elizabeth
in the evening.
