DECEMBER 7

     The first peacetime anniversary

of Pearl Harbor Day passed

pleasantly, but without much

excitement.  Florence and Elaine

phoned and I made dates with

them, but otherwise, all was un-

eventful.

My cousin, Danny, home on

furlough after 7 months in

Europe, came for dinner and

to spend the night.  He’s a

likeable kid and awfully

nice (I hadn’t seen him since

we were about six)  He has

three battle stars and guarded

Von Ribbontrop’s family in Austria.
