A hectic day indeed --- the big
Nimitz parade was scheduled to take
place -- and did -- but I got fouled
up on my personal schedule and
missed it completely. Oh well, I
can tell my grandchildren, I stood
where the parade has passed.
Dad doesn’t seem to feel too
well tonight -- such a long
drawn out process.
Freddie sent a map of his
operations from D-Day till VE Day,
Bill Brennan wrote a nine
page (single typed) letter: - interesting
with occassional perks; and
Bill wrote a real sweet one
too – says he should be home by
Decoration Day: - he’d better be!!
