AUGUST 25
A reactionary sort of day, as I
slept soundly till after ten this
morning, and then relaxed some more
reading the newly-arrived “Life” and
“Glamour” After lunch Mother and
I went to the Albee to see
George Raft in “Nob Hill” and part of
“Don Juan Quilligan” which was so
crony that we left in the middle
of it and walked to the 5 & 10 for
a waffle ice cream sandwich – and
then on to the hospital to find Dad
seeming somewhat better.
It’s Floyd’s birthday.
