We slept until 10:30 and then
I settled down in front of my
trusty typewriter to begin tapping
away on my Soc termpaper. I
kept at it all day even, through
dinner, with time out for a
meeting with Lib – and Vespers at
Bruton with Elaine – and by the
time I finally finished I felt
that I'd been wallowing through
the slums myself.
