My Darling Wife;

Every thing has

been going on very nicely

since I wrote you last.

We have had some quiet

since our battle. The men

are very indignant at having

so little beef made over

there. I forgot to tell you that

I was informed by Gaston [Otiz?]

that Magruder had mentioned

me in his dispatches. Dont

laugh, but I would not be

surprised from his manner
