Tues. Oct. 6th
Right after breakfast I went upstairs
and got the [two], third [drivey], [f...] rooms
ready to be cleaned, + by the time E arrived
from N.Y. they were done, except for
moving the furniture back. E had a
perfect time, + Howard + [Chelsir] both
came to see her + have a game of bridge
each night.In the afternoon tried on my
maid of honor dress which is going to be
sweet, + then did some errands. [Then] first
[making] of the G.F.S. was held tonight
but I was too tired to go so went to bed early.
Wednesday. Oct. 7th
[...] + Louise are cleaning the kitchen,
cellar + [...] to day + that ends the hard
part. Cornelia came down this morning
+ opened a lot of presents. Aunt [Eveline]
+ Aunt Jean were also here. Her presents
are beautiful + it is so exciting having them
