Katie took Mary, Geo., Lewis & I out

to see the blood hounds working

way over on the west side. They

are aftger some of our numerous

disturbers. Mother & I gave Bess

Carrington a lavender & white dress

for her birthday today. Went to

a 3 o'clock train to serve ice

cream cones to soldiers. Our first

canteen call for some time. Have

read & knitted this eve. Harry bought

a dear little white silk parasol with

pink ruffles in K. C.
