here two days at the Samaritan Hos-
pital, & took him home yesterday – left
pressing invitations for you girls
to come up. Dr. Dabney will visit
headquarters next month, preparing
his memoir of Gen J_.

Mrs. Jackson, in her last letter, begged
to be remembered to you. Of all the
letters your aunt Sue as received
since Lacy's death, I think none grati-
fied her as your father's did.
It was so kind, so tenderly sympa-
thising, & we knew was so sincere.
What has become of your Uncle [Tim?]?.
I am becoming desperate as to his
fate. My kindest regards to [Gen?],
Mrs. E_ & Miss Hattie, & to Mr.
Lacy. Love to Mr. [Prin...?] & tell him
a letter to his sister would be good em-
ployment for him for any spare
moments he may have. I sent his
hat & pistol in a box directed to
your uncle for the [Chaplains?]
Write soon - your loving aunt Lizzie
I will attend to your money on Monday.
