Wind E & NE. Rained all day. Tide very high

Tuesday 9
Wind E. Rained all day. The Highest tide I ever
say. It went over all my Oats, Two thirds of my
wheat & nearly all my Corn Field.
It is a terrible storm & has damaged me thousands
of dollars. Another tide at night as high as the m.g.
washed down & carried off at least a mile of new fence a
large portion of the Rails I never will recover.

Wednesday 10
Wind NE Cloudy. Rained nearly all day. Gathered
up all the Rails I could. I have a very bad cold.

Thursday 11
Wind N Clear. Put down three Bridges in the
land all of which were washed up. Gathered up
Rails & made fences. The tide went into Mr Bryan’s
house & carried Robins Lighter with house on it in Mr
Bryan’s garden.

Friday 12
Wind E Cloudy & Rained all night. Making fences
Sister Harriet & her children here. Sister H stayed all night
Warner went to P Page’s

Saturday 13

a little girl about day this morning, Thank God she
had a very good time. Dr Gary had to come through the
rain last night.
