Wind NW Clear. Cut Oats. Gabriel at
Mr Sinclair’s. Cutting Wheat & Milly [...uiding?]

Wednesday 3
Wind NW. Clear. Finished cutting Oats by breakfast
time, then sent John William Langborn, James &
Susan to Mr Curtis’s to assist him in harvest and
younger Joshua & Jim Henry to Mr Sinclair’s.
Burnt Lime Kiln. Cleaned Barn Yard.

Thursday 4
Wind W Clear. Hands at Mr Curtis’s & Mr Sinclair’s
Picked out Lime for White Wash.

Friday 5
Wind S clear. Hands still at Mr Curtis, they returned from
Sinclair’s. Hauled in & put away Oats.
Capt Jacob Sparrow was captured in his Vessel in
attempting to run the blockade, by the Steamer in the
Mouth of York River on Wednesday.

Firing at intervals all day in direction of Hampton.
I dined at Mr Bryans yesterday with Judge Rose of Texas.
Mr Goggin got letters yesterday which compelled him
to start for Memphis to day. I sent him to
Capahosic early this morning.
