Williamsburg Nov 20th
[Wensday?] night

Will my dear Husband be willing
to read a note from his wife written on such
a scrap of paper? It is after eleven o'clock
and I ought not to attempt a longer
letter than this scrap will hold.
My principal object in writing is to
say, that Bland tells me [Sainty?] has
commissioned her to write by Uncle
Charles and invite you up to his
wedding. Now, I can, without scruple
beg my dearest Husband to come.
Cannot you do so? I think this time
to-morrow night I shall be a very
happy woman if you are with me.
You know I want your company
althoguht, I do not like to urge you
too much to give it me, becasue
you may have duties which should
keep you at your post. But [underscored] if

if there should be a vacant seat
in the buggy, please [underscored] take it.
Many thanks for your letter by Mr.
Blair's boy. I fear yo will not think
your "wife has bveen al to you that you
could have desired," when she tells
you, that she has not made your
gaiters. The truth is, that I have been
obliged to do some work for [Sadee?] and
I know you aer by far too generous not
to prefer that I should attend to he
wants first - Am I not right?
I have been hard at work all day.
I have enjoyed Sainty so much. He
is truly happy, and I says he loves
his Sister very much. He gave me a
good scold for not letting him know I
was goint to be married. He is as
affectionate and loving to me as I could
desire him to be. All this does not make
up for the absence of my Husband

[Marginalia Pg 2]

Do not wait to see whether the Bryans come over before you make
your arrangements. Iw will then be too late and [?]
for you [?] or do something.

[Marginalia Pg 1 Left margin and top of page]

Mrs. Thompson [Bunn?] arrived in W_ to-day
I am anxious that Mother should take her as a border
for the winter.
I do not know
what has
become of her
to-night
poor thing she did
not know
where she could go,
but was
looking
for a
place.

devotedly
Your wife

[Marginalia - Right margin]

Mother would have sent for Mrs Bunn to-night but her house
is full.
