Christmas Music for Everyone Dr. Carl A. Fehr directs the William and Mary Choir and Chorus in their annual programs of Christmas music.

College Choir Sets Concert Williamsburg, Dec. 8 - Directed by Carl H. Fehr, the William and Mary Choir and Chorus will present their annual Christmas concert Monday and Tuesday night at 8 in Blow Memorial Gymnasium. The program will open with a candlelight procession and the "Gloria in Excelsis" by Jolley.

The choir will next sing Bach's Christmas cantata "For Unto Us a Child is Born", followed by the women's chorus in Benjamin Britten's "A Ceremony of Carols", a modern setting for Middle English verse. Carol selections will include numbers from Sweden, Czechoslovakia, and Mexico.

Narration will be provided by David Weston, who last summer portrayed the role of Thomas Jefferson in "The Common Glory". The concert will close with a candlelight rendition of "Silent Night" by the combined choir and chorus. The production is under the technical direction of Albert Haak, assistant professor of fine arts.

The choir, numbering 60 voices, has been under the direction of Dr. Fehr since 1945 and has given a number of concert tours in Virginia, performing in Washington D.C., Richmond, Norfolk, Petersburg, Lynchburg, and Bristol. In addition it has sung over a number of national radio networks.
