Stevensville Feby 17th. 1863

We are all sorry to hear that little Mary Ellen is suffering so much with the breaking out and she has had so long but hope she will be relieved before long, if it is the will of God.

We hear that you think of going to house keeping in the spring if nothing prevents and that Lucy Fleet has kindly offerd to let you have Malinda & a little daughter of hers if so & peer will agree to go with her I have concluded to let him go [,] I am sorry I did not ask John when he was up last, I intend to let him have some money to help him pay for his land & would be glad
