OCTOBER 3
The mercury has dropped and I’m
on the verge of freezing -- we haven’t
started the furnace yet, and so I’m
bundled in bed (the only warm place)
as I write this.
I took time out from the Fleer’s
job to help post the Drug survey,
and accomplished quite a bit: - one
of my more efficient days.
During my lunch hour I ran
around, getting tickets for Florence
and me to see “Dark of the Moon”
Friday eve. It should be good!
We stopped at the hospital as
usual -- I hope the last times are
drawing near! --- and then home for
an impromptu supper of roast
chicken.
Signs of our times: - gas Station offers
a free gallon of gas with each 7 bought –
‘n two months ago twas being rationed.
