JULY 1
The new month arrived without any
fanfare of any kind --- I slept past
church and spent the rest of the day
at the hospital. Mother and I had
dinner at Michel’s our old hangout
and later on when Lizzie came down
went to Louis’ for supper.
The newspaper deliverymen are on
strike --- how you can miss something
always taken for granted, like the
morning paper!
Dad feels only slightly better.
