<html>early as she had promised to take care
of the Bud. Helen came down later +
while we made sandwiches for to night
she told us all the latest gossip. Took
the eight o'clock car from Lauder Street
and arrived at Addy's among the last.
There were about twenty five of us there
and when the procession started over
armed with all kinds of stuff to eat,
sandwiches, cake, coffee, ice cream,
candy, fruit, + cider, we were a funny
looking crowd. Florence was simply
speechless + first she + Ralph sat on
the floor + opened the "paper" presents
that everyone had brought to celebrate
their first anniversary. Afterwards we
played game + later had refreshments.
Didn't get home until late, + it had
grown so cold in the evening.
