Abscess<br />of liver discovered - R. [Recr.?]<br />incision closed. &nbsp;[Rib?] resected<br />&amp; abscess opened &amp; drained.<br />Did fine for two weeks when<br />had set-back, Drainage<br />of pus &amp; debris Then later [?]<br />[...k?] pure bile. Drainage tube out<br />20" Mch. &nbsp;Propped up in bed<br />the 19" Mch. Continued to be up a<br />bit each day. Lifted into wheel<br />chair 3" &amp; improvement gradual<br />&amp; steady. Tho have poor sleep &amp;<br />much pain in back especially<br />when lying down. &nbsp;Left 23" In<br />Hospital [?] for Base #9.<br />N.Y.
