Mrs D. G. Martz

My Dear Lidia I have concluded to wirte you a note informing
you of my continued health which is toleralbe good.  Lee arrived here on 17th
he is well he things Mikie [escaped?]. I hope this my find you all well.
Please notify Adaline to let Vida have a barrel flour on my account.
You must not pay young C Grandleary money if you have it except
what he charges for the coffin.  This I have offered him [often?]. I would not
have that refused him. when that is paid I owe him nothing more than he
owes [me?]. I want Uncle to sell my mare to pay Houston. I will
take $1200 for her and no less as I do not want to part with her. She ought to bring $1500 from what Lee
says.  Get him to pay Uncle [Chresley?] G such money as he
needs.  Uncle may probably get me detailed as a farmer
I would like it if he could as I will never be fit for service a-
gain. I would like to get you back to the old place.  I am determ-
ined never to be beholding to another person of my relations than him all
have proved treachorous except him.  They have not even cared
for misfortune or any think else. Uncle I consider as the
best friend I have living, you excepted. you can
show him this letter but no one else. My love to
all at Grand Mother Martzs, Kiss Sissie for me
Many kisses for you your affectionate Husband
Daniel G Martz
Mrs Lydia Martz.
