Oh! the box of [new?] tea has come from
England & I am going to make you

come home. The girls are rejoicing over
the beautiful paper their father sent
them, & Mrs. Sue has a beautiful
handkerchief – soap &c. Mr. Brown's
& Mr. Willie's box still tarries on the
road. Maj. Lacy came from head-
quarters yesterday – was sorry to have
missed you, said he met Willie
Hoge there, making a call. He would
regret not seeing you I know. Willie writes
to us that he is contented & likes his
company but missed home very much.
And home misses him, I can tell you,
for we are constantly needing his
services. Miss Flournoy, a rela-
tive of Mrs. Hoge's has been with us
this week – quite a smart pleasant
