from Louisianna who has been sick here, who goes to
join his Regt on the Peninsula

Wind SE Clear in mg Cloudy in Ev.g. Finished
Pulling Fodder. Mr Canny sick again.

Sunday 22
Wind NE. Cloudy. Rained early m.g. Clear in Ev.g.
We staid at home. Mr Curtis here. Mr Canney
had a curious affection to day he seemed to be deranged.
Sent for Dr Cary & Dr Seldon. They thought nothing was the matter
with him . He is a Yankee in a Loua Batalion

Monday 23
Wind S.E. Clear. Finished cutting Tops
Col Crump Comdt at Gloster Point and Col Cabell
came here to day to view the coast with reference to
putting it in a state of defence. They spent the night

Tuesday 24
Wind NE Clear. Packing away & hauling in Fodder
Cols Crump and Cabell went to North River
by water and landed at Mrs Roy’s, & thence to Mathews
Ct. house. Warner went with them but returned from Mrs Roy’s
in Aftn. I went to Mr Bryan’s in Evg to see Mr Gordon
who is sick there.
